Hot Garlic Hot Sauce on Mac and Cheese

Hot Garlic Mac and Cheese

Anyone else love hot sauce with their Mac & Cheese? This recipe infuses Hot Garlic into the cheese sauce, creating a delicious, savory, and perfectly spicy Mac & Cheese!

Makes 6-8 Servings

Ingredients:
8 oz uncooked noodles of choice  (you could go classic with elbow macaroni, or try something different – we’ve used and loved vegetable fusilli and rotini)
3 TBS butter
2 TBS wheat flour
½ tsp sea salt
1 TBS garlic powder
1 cup  milk of choice (we’ve done it with coconut, almond, and 2% – all good)!
¼ cup Greek yogurt
1 TBS Hot Garlic Hot Sauce (increase as desired – we like 3 TBS)
2 cups shredded cheddar & pepper jack cheese

Instructions:

Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain, and set aside.

In a medium saucepan melt butter over medium heat.

Once melted, add in flour, salt, and garlic powder.

Whisk well and let cook for a minute.

Add milk, whisk until smooth and then add yogurt and whisk until smooth. Allow to cook on medium heat until slightly thickened, about 4 minutes.

Once it is to a desired thickness, turn off the heat and add in hot sauce and cheese. Whisk until smooth and creamy.

Finally, add in cooked pasta, stirring to evenly coat and serve warm, with a little extra Hot Garlic on top!
